Jan gained her registration in 1988 at the Real Estate Institute of Western Australia (Inc) and has specialised in selling property within a 7km range of her home in Mt. Lawley. During this time Jan has gained extensive experience in selling either by exclusive agency or by Auction with a high success rate of selling under the hammer.
Auction is not always the most appropriate method of selling a property this depends very much on the circumstances of the sale and/or the uniqueness of the property.
Her family were born and raised in this inner city/northern suburbs area, giving her a thorough knowledge of the facilities and educational institutions available. This experience has proved invaluable over the years as Western Australia has a transient population being home to many of the large Mining Companies with head offices in Perth.
Jan also has had extensive experience and involvement in the building industry, having been a Director of her family building company for 25 years which specialised in the renovations and extensions of character homes in the Mt Lawley district. She takes a keen interest in preserving the ambience of this wonderful traditional family suburb and is an active member of the Mount Lawley Society www.mountlawleysociety.org.au
A question often asked by people when they call Jan in for a market appraisal is “do we renovate and stay put or do we sell?”
This is a question she is well qualified to answer given her years in the building industry, real estate and having lived and reared a family in Mt Lawley after starting married life in Bedford.
Jan has been a Rotarian for 18 years and is the recipient of the prestigious Paul Harris Fellow for service above self. Her current role is Community Services Director for the Rotary Club of Northbridge. The RUAH Drop in Centre for the homeless and the Women's Refuges are her particular passion and concern.
You can be assured Jan will work hard with you and for you in the common aim of achieving the best possible outcome.
